Welcome to the World of Manners

manner
/ˈmanə/
noun
plural noun: manners
1. a person’s outward bearing or way of behaving towards others.
synonyms: demeanour, air, aspect, attitude, bearing, deportment, behaviour, conduct.

Manners are a very important part of society, any society, be it human or otherwise. Yes, even our pets have manners and likely see ours as very poor. But generally speaking, our interaction with fellow human beings is best done with good manners.

Manners will differ between countries but they exist and because they exist there lies the potential for bad manners to form.

Through these pages we will investigate why we need manners, the basics everyone should learn, stories showing proper use of manners and common courtesy and how to interpret polite and impolite situations. I may even touch on basic grammar knowledge because I believe that is also a part of good manners.

I hope not to offend anyone and would appreciate any feedback to be thoughtful and respectful as I will try to be. These pages, you should note, will also be written to make you chuckle quietly and nod your head in understanding.
